Modular Forms

This project was based on repeat pattern shapes.I took most of my inspiration from shapes seen at Tent London. These were my favourites.

My favourite designers work at Tent was Jan Plechac. I really liked his furniture as it reminded me almost of graphic illustrations. It was slightly surreal to see just gridded structures of furniture.

Tent London

I visited Tent London as part of the London Design Festival 2011 in Brick Lane. There was literally a hundred amazing pieces of furniture and decoration that i could post photos of, here are my favourites though!

Drawings from the Southbank

Here are my drawings from the Southbank. The Panorama is from Waterloo Bridge.

Southbank Angles models

Here are my rough model ideas for structures, inspired by the angles Iwitnessed on the Southbank.

Southbank

Today we spent the day on the Southbank. We had to choose an element of the area to document.I chose angles as they are everywhere you look, from the bridges to the lamp posts.

A visit to Franks Bar Peckham

For our first site visit we visited Franks Campari bar in Peckham. It is located on the top of Peckham Rye multiplex car park and was a bit of a nightmare to finally find, but when i reached the top the panorama overlooking London was well worth getting lost for.

First Project at camberwell

For our first series of projects we looked at how to take everyday objects and take them out of their everyday environment. This was to create an entirely new object by changing their context.I used a ball of string a hairbrush and a coat hanger.

Drawing Machines

We had to make a device that could create marks on paper using ink paint or pencil. The device I made used a water bottle hanging from the ceiling filled with coloured paint and with holes in the bottom. As you swung the bottle the paint dripped over a large area.My favourite painting was the orange speckled one as that was left below the bottle and over time the paint dripped from the walls and formed a glossy shine to the paper.
